Background and Purpose of Request
A total of four (4) vehicle vendors responded to the RFP 2026 request to purchase new vehicles. McGovern Auto Group/MHQ in Shrewsbury, MA was the lowest proposal received to purchase Chevrolet patrol vehicles. Quirk Ford in Augusta, ME was the lowest proposal received to purchase Ford F-150 police responders. We are requesting the authorization to make the following purchases.
• $454,920 for eight (8) 2026/2027 Chevrolet 4-wheel drive patrol vehicles at $56,865 each from McGovern/MHQ.
• $99,134 for two (2) 2026/2027 Ford F-150 Police Responder 4-wheel drive vehicles at $49,567 each from Quirk Ford.
These purchases would replace the oldest and highest mileage vehicles in the Patrol and CID fleet with the recommendation from Fleet Supervisor Steve Wilkes.

$56,865 from the 2026-2027 Standish contract line item 21-212-7345-06 vehicle account for one (1) vehicle from McGovern/MHQ.
$56,865 from the 2026-2027 Harrison contract line item 21-204-7345-06 vehicle account for one (1) vehicle from McGovern/MHQ.
