Background and Purpose of Request
The current Communications Contract between the CCRCC and the Town of Harpswell expired on June 30, 2026. The fee’s associated with the Harpswell’s Dispatch contract are based on a per capita fee for their 2020 census population of 5,031.
Instead of the previous three-year projected increase of 3%, the contract now provides a range of 3-5% increase, after the initial FY27 increase of 6%. Additionally, a $2,000.00 IT fee for the Fire Departments connection to the County’s CAD Software starts on July 1, 2026. The Cost section of the contract has been modified to reflect these changes. In order for the Town of Harpswell’s to approve a multi-year contract it must be presented at the annual meeting. The last contract was for 1 year while they prepared to get it on the agenda for the annual meeting which was held July 16,2026. In order to align all dispatch contracts to the same three-year term, the term of this contract is two years from the effective date.
Funding Amount and Source
Year 1 (July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027): $ 46,799.05
Year 2 (July 1, 2027 to June 30, 2028): $ 3-5% increase to be determined by Dec 1, 2026
Year 1 (July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027): $ 9.30
Year 2 (July 1, 2027 to June 30, 2028): 3-5% increase to be determined by Dec 1, 2026
