Authorization for the County Manager to enter into a communications services contract between the Cumberland County Regional Communications Center and the Town of Long Island from July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2028.

Background and Purpose of Request:
Requestor: Melinda Fairbrother-Dyer, Director of CCRCC
The current Communications Contract between the CCRCC and the Town of Long Island expired July 1, 2025. The fee’s associated with Long Islands Dispatch contract are based on a per capita fee for their 2020 census population of 234 with an annual increase of 3% and an additional IT connection fee for the Fire Departments connection to our CAD Software starting in year 2 of the contract and increasing annually by 3%.

Dispatch Service Fee’s:
Year 1 (July 1, 2025 to June 30,2026): $2,053.49
Year 2 (July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027): $2,115.10
Year 3 (July 1, 2027 to June 30, 2028): $2,178.55
Information Technology CAD Connection Fee’s:
Year 2: $2,000 with an annual 3% increase each year after.
