District 2 - Representing Casco, Falmouth, Frye Island, Gray, Harrison, Naples, New Gloucester, Raymond and Windham.
Commissioner Susan Witonis is serving her second term representing District 2 and is, "Committed to representing the rural communities of Cumberland County." She was first elected in November 2010, and re-elected in 2016 and 2020. Commissioner Witonis represents the Board of Commissioners on the following Committees: Cross Insurance Arena Board of Trustees and the Cumberland County Grant Oversight Committee.
She is an active community volunteer, serving as President and longtime volunteer to the Pleasant Mountain Ski Club and as a Volunteer for the Casco Fire Association/Casco Days. She served on the Casco Board of Selectmen from 2006-2010, and as a member of the Cumberland County Budget Advisory Committee from 2006-2010 before running for the seat of County Commissioner.
Commissioner Witonis’s political affiliation is Independent. She is a 1973 graduate of Windham High School. She is married with two children and is retired and currently resides in Casco.
